What changed your appearance the most in 2025?
Let's do a year-in-review thread. What single change you made in 2025 had the biggest positive impact on your appearance? For me: getting serious about shoulder training. I'd been going to the gym for two years but doing a generic bro split and not prioritising lateral raises. In 2025 I switched to an aesthetics-focused programme with 4x weekly lateral delt work. The visual change in my shoulder-to-waist ratio in 9 months has been the most dramatic aesthetic improvement I've made. Every shirt fits better. People have noticed.
For me it was consistent sunscreen use. I know that sounds boring but I wasn't diligent about it before 2025 — I'd apply it some mornings and skip it others. The cumulative UV damage was undoing the tret work. Once I made SPF non-negotiable every single morning, my hyperpigmentation fading accelerated noticeably and my overall skin quality improved. Simple, free, just required consistency.
Adding dermarolling to my hair protocol in 2025. Was skeptical but the evidence convinced me. Did it weekly for 9 months and the temple area that had been thin for 2 years started filling in noticeably. No other protocol changes so I can at least partially attribute it to the dermarolling. Now I can't imagine not including it.
Fixing my forward head posture. Spent 3 months with serious intent — daily chin tucks, monitor at eye level, consistent thoracic work. Before I started I had about a 2-inch forward head displacement. Now it's essentially corrected. The visual difference in how my face looks from the side and how my neck sits is significant. My jawline photographs much better.
Getting a proper haircut. Sounds absurd but I was going to the same cheap barber out of habit. In 2025 I went to an actual stylist who understood my face shape and hair texture and got a cut that works with my features. The difference was immediate and people noticed within a week. The cut cost 3x more but I only get one every 6-8 weeks so the actual cost difference is negligible.
