Introduce yourself — who are you and what are you working on?
Welcome to Forum Maxxing. This is the introduction thread — drop a comment telling us who you are, where you're starting from, and what you're working on. No judgement, no comparisons, no blackpilling. This is a progress-oriented community.
A few things to know about this forum: we are evidence-based, we are process-focused, and we don't rank or rate people without their consent.
I'll go first: I'm lookstheory, one of the mods here. I've been in this space for about 5 years. I started because I had pretty severe cystic acne at 19 that tanked my confidence. Found tretinoin, found this community, eventually found that the habits I built for my skin improved my discipline across everything else. I'm currently focused on maintaining what I have — tret routine, training consistently, and staying sane about it all. What are you working on?
Hey, I'm jawmaxxer99. 23 years old. Started getting into facial aesthetics at 19 because I've always had a recessed chin and high gonial angle. Currently researching orthognathic surgery options as a long-term goal — still 2-3 years away from making a decision but doing thorough research. In the meantime I'm lean (about 12% BF), training consistently, and documenting bone structure changes from correct oral posture.
tretinoingod here. My entire personality is skincare now apparently. Was a mess at 19, figured out skincare science by 21, now I want to share what actually works. On tret 4 years, skin has never been better. Also into the gym side of things but skincare is my main contribution here. Happy to answer any tret/actives questions.
finstride. Hair loss journey guy. Started panicking at 22 when I noticed recession, now 25 and genuinely stable and starting to regrow. Fin + min has been a game changer. I post detailed protocol stuff in the hair section and happy to talk to anyone who's just noticing loss and doesn't know where to start.
aesthetemax here. I approach this from the style and fashion side. I got interested in looksmaxxing because I was genuinely confused about why some guys with average features looked significantly better than others in everyday life — turns out it's mostly fit, colour, and grooming. Working on building out a minimal wardrobe around my colour palette and body type.
ratioking. I'm a numbers person — I measure everything, track everything. Currently at 82cm shoulders, 73cm waist, working towards 88/72. Face is lean, currently trying to get from 13% BF to 11%. Big believer in measurable targets over vague goals.
glowupgrind, 21 years old. Honestly just started and don't know much yet but I'm learning fast. Working on skincare basics, just started tret, and trying to get the gym habit consistent. This forum has been incredibly helpful.
