What a directory listing does and does not tell you

A listing confirms that a business exists, sells what it says it sells, and was willing to put its name and contact details somewhere public. That rules out the throwaway storefronts that appear and vanish inside a quarter, which is genuinely useful. It does not tell you anything about purity, consistency between batches, how the company handles a bad order, or whether the site will still be trading in a year. Those questions are answered by certificates of analysis, by community threads where people post results over time, and by starting with a small order rather than a large one.

How to check a vendor before ordering

Ask for a certificate of analysis for the specific lot you would receive, not a generic one from the manufacturer's site, and check that the lot number on it matches what arrives. Search the forum for the vendor name and read the complaints rather than the praise, since the failure modes repeat. Pay with a method that gives you recourse. Order one item first: the cheapest way to learn how a company handles fulfilment, packaging and a support request is to make them do it once at low stakes.

Why vendors are grouped by category

The categories exist because the checks differ. A peptide supplier lives or dies on third-party assay and cold-chain handling. A supplement seller is mostly a question of label accuracy and whether the dose is meaningful. Skincare and hair-loss brands sit closer to formulation and concentration, where the active ingredient matters more than the brand around it. Filtering by category means you are comparing businesses that should be judged on the same criteria instead of ranking unlike things against each other.

Getting listed in the directory

Listings are free and submitted through the form rather than by contacting a moderator directly. A submission needs a company name, a working website, a contact email that someone reads, the categories you operate in and a short description of what you actually sell. Moderators check that the site resolves and that the description matches what is on it, then approve or reject with a reason. Rejections are usually a dead link, a description written as advertising copy rather than a description, or a category selection that does not match the storefront.

Is a listing here an endorsement?

No. A moderator checks that the business is real, the site resolves and the description matches what is being sold. How much does it cost to be listed?

How do I get a listing removed or corrected?

Owners can edit their own listing from the manage page using the account that submitted it. For a removal, or for a correction to a listing you do not control, contact a moderator with the URL and what is wrong.

Why are some categories empty?

Because nobody operating in them has submitted yet. Empty categories are left visible rather than hidden so the gaps are obvious, and because a category with no vendors is itself useful information about the space.

What happens if a listed vendor turns out to be bad?

Post it in the forum, where it is visible to everyone and attached to your account history. Moderators suspend listings for demonstrable problems — non-delivery, misrepresented products, failed independent testing — but a pattern in the threads is what makes that case.
